Dear Friends, fans and well wishers of pickleball.
I am so excited to bring the sport of the millennium century to my country.
When I saw the first game of Pickleball in Nepal I was intrigued. But when I played it, I was sold. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport around the world. The game, which started in America in 1965, has gained worldwide popularity until 2023.
It has taken us almost three years of work to bring Pickleball to Nepal officially, in the form of a non-profit organization. Pickleball Association Nepal task as the governing body of pickleball in Nepal, is to popularize and develop pickleball, according to internationally approved standards and guidelines. We are recognized by the World Pickleball Federation and Asian Pickleball Federation, the world governing body for Pickleball. We are grateful to Mr. Naveen Gurung who introduced pickleball in Nepal for the first time and has continued to cooperate in the development and promotion of pickleball. And our respected Chef Coach MR. Kumar Pradhan for their encouragement and support as we establish the sport in Nepal.
PAN and my personal mission for 2023, is to showcase Pickleball in its true spirit- a social and inclusive sport that is sustainable as a sport and as a business opportunity. Our dream is to send a powerful team to represent Nepal in international tournaments. Pickleball is a sport directly linked to sports tourism. Our goal is to introduce Nepal to the world through pickleball. We are in the process of setting up state associations, tournaments and club affiliations to make Pickleball available to everyone.
As I nurture Pickleball in Nepal, from its infancy. I hope you will support me in my mission. Wish you health and joy while you get addicted to Pickleball.
