Nepal’s present status in Pickleball Game
A few players were the first to introduce pickleball to Nepal in 2019; they were the ones who
introduced the new sport to the country. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented this game from
being played. Similar to this, a small number of players initially played in the region with the aid
of a few pickleball paddles and balls. Players took part in the first local competition, which was
held later in 20…However, a small number of players travelled to Sikkim and Goa to compete,
where they took home some medals.
A few pickleball lovers in Kathmandu founded the Pickleball Association of Nepal in the year
that this game began to gain popularity in the country. A few players that competed in the 2023
pickleball world championship, which was hosted in Bombay and organized by.., took a few
medals back to Nepal. Some pickleball players travelled to Patana in 2024 to compete in the
Southern Zone Pickleball Tournament. Bihar and Nepali pickleball players placed second and
won fifteen medals, respectively, and were honored to receive recognition for their
accomplishments. From… to…, the pickleball association of Nepal organized the Nepal Open
International Tournament. Over ten foreign nations sent players to compete in this massive event,
and Nepal emerged victorious with a total of 52 medals. This shows how passionate and
enthusiastic the country is about playing pickleball, an emerging sport with bright future
prospects.
Over a hundred pickleball players practice daily at the Bishal Milan Kendra court these days, as
well as in other locations like Bhaktapur. Some of the players and enthusiasts are quite involved
in the game.

In this brief moment, pickleball is one of the games that Nepalis enjoy playing the most. The
game of pickleball has been promoted since its founding by the Pickleball Association of Nepal
(PAN). From… to…, Nepal effectively hosted the Nepal Open International Tournament.
Because it fits the physical makeup of Nepalis, this game is extremely popular. Any school with
a badminton court can host games; no specific court is required for this game. Due to the fact
that pickleball will be a part of the Olympic Games in the future, athletes from all schools will be
competing in this specific game, and there will be plenty of opportunities for gold. Pickleball
Association Nepal (PAN) would therefore like to concentrate on prospective students.
