Program Overview
The Pickleball Association Nepal designs and delivers programs that make pickleball accessible to all Nepalis regardless of age, ability, or background. Our initiatives focus on skill development, community building, health promotion, and infrastructure expansion throughout Nepal.

Annual Program Sessions

Youth Development
Our youth development program introduces pickleball to Nepal's next generation, fostering physical activity, social skills, and healthy competition. Through partnerships with schools and community centers across Nepal, we bring pickleball directly to children ages 8-18.
Program Elements:
- School-based pickleball curriculum for physical education classes
- After-school training programs in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan
- Youth tournament series with age-appropriate divisions
- Summer pickleball camps in multiple regions of Nepal
- Equipment provision for participating schools and communities
2025 Program Schedule
Our youth program runs year-round with seasonal sessions:
- Spring Session: March 1 - May 30
- Summer Camps: June 15 - August 15
- Fall Session: September 1 - November 30
- Winter Clinics: December 15 - February 15

Senior Wellness
Our senior wellness program brings the joy and health benefits of pickleball to Nepal's older adults. Designed specifically for participants aged 55+, this program helps improve mobility, balance, and social connection while adapting to different physical abilities.

- Social interaction that combats isolation
- Gentle skill progression tailored to participant abilities
- Modified equipment options for those with physical limitations
- Regular play sessions at community centers throughout Nepal
Research Partnership
We've partnered with Kathmandu Medical College to study the health benefits of pickleball for Nepali seniors. Preliminary results show improvements in balance, flexibility, and mental well-being.

Community Outreach
Our community outreach program brings pickleball to underserved areas across Nepal, introducing the sport to communities that might otherwise not have access to recreational activities. Through mobile courts and equipment libraries, we make pickleball accessible to all.
Mobile Pickleball Units
Our mobile units travel to remote districts, bringing portable courts, equipment, and instruction to communities throughout Nepal.
Local Leadership Training
We identify and train local pickleball ambassadors who can continue teaching and organizing play after our mobile team moves on.
Community Tournaments
We organize friendly tournaments that bring together multiple communities, fostering connection and healthy competition.
Local Media Partnerships
We work with local radio stations and newspapers to promote pickleball events and increase awareness in each community.

Court Development
Our court development program focuses on creating and maintaining pickleball infrastructure throughout Nepal. From converting existing spaces to building new dedicated courts, we're expanding access to quality playing facilities.

Adaptive Pickleball
Our adaptive pickleball program ensures that players of all abilities can enjoy the sport. Working with disability organizations across Nepal, we've developed modified equipment and teaching methods to make pickleball truly inclusive.
