About Pickleball Association Nepal (PAN):

Pickleball Association Nepal (PAN), in collaboration with passionate Pickleball players, is proud to organize the Nepal Open International Pickleball Tournament. PAN is a non-profit organization committed to the growth and promotion of Pickleball in Nepal. The association serves as a hub for enthusiasts and players, fostering community engagement and healthy competition.

About the Nepal Open International Pickleball Tournament:

This tournament marks a historic moment for Pickleball enthusiasts in Nepal, as it hosts the first-ever International Open event in the country. Anticipating the participation of 120 players from 16 different countries, the tournament promises to be a spectacle of skill, sportsmanship, and cultural exchange.

Age Groups and Categories: The competition will be fierce across three age groups (19+, 35+, 50+, and 60+) in three categories (3.0 Amateur, 3.5 Intermediate, 4.0 Advanced).

 Game Formats: Exciting matches are scheduled in various formats, including singles and gender doubles, along with mixed doubles, spanning all Four age groups and categories.

Tournament platform: We will be using pickleball.global to generate the tie-sheet of the game.

Pickleball: A Brief Overview:

Pickleball is a dynamic and engaging racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Played on a smaller court with a lower net, Pickleball is accessible to players of all ages and skill levels. Its popularity has been rapidly growing globally, making it an ideal platform for brand exposure.

1. Venue: The tournament will be held at the National Sports Centre Pvt. Ltd., the largest Tennis Academy in Nepal, featuring 12 courts for matches and 4 practice courts. We will have 120 participants participating in this tournament. 

2. Facilities: Multiple eateries and food counters will cater to approximately 1000 players and spectators over the two days of the event.

3. Merchandise Stall: A designated stall will be provided for Sponsor to showcase and sell its merchandise.

4. Branding Opportunities: Sponsor banners will be prominently displayed in the Main Entrance and Center Court, offering exposure during media coverage. Additionally, the Sponsor logo will be included in the Tournament T-shirts, with around 1000 shirts printed for players, random distributions, and merchandise sales.

5. Future Partnership: We plan to establish an official partner agency for Franklin product sales in Kathmandu following the success of the tournament.

6. Media Coverage: The tournament will receive national TV coverage and live streaming, maximizing visibility for sponsors.

7. Dignitaries: Dignitaries from sports academies and sports councils, including the secretary, will be in attendance.

8. International Participation: Anticipating players from 14 countries, with confirmations already received from the UK, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Spain, China, and the USA.

9. Age Groups and Categories: The tournament will feature three age groups (19+, 35+, 50+, and 60+) competing in three categories (3.0 Amateur, 3.5 Intermediate, 4.0 Advanced).

10. Game Formats: Singles and gender doubles, along with mixed doubles, will be played across all age groups and categories, resulting in more than 500 games over the two days.

11. Pickleball Growth: Pickleball is gaining popularity, particularly at the school level, with increased awareness and participation. We foresee the development of skilled players contributing to the sport’s growth in Nepal.
